PEACE AND GOOD!
The desire to unite the Franciscan charism with the principles of Dulcism, to strengthen the Purpose of Loving and Serving those most in need and to keep alive the example of Saint Dulce of the Poor, came to fruition on November 9, 2018, with the establishment of the Capuchin Fraternity House on the premises of Sister Dulce's Social Works.
This dream was cherished by Mrs. Dulcinha, sister of Saint Dulce of the Poor, and by His Eminence Friar José Ruy Lopes, beginning in 2005, and realized only 13 years later.
Currently, our patients and their companions, faithful, pilgrims, and professionals of the house receive spiritual assistance from the friars, can attend Mass and make confessions daily at the Shrine.
We are grateful to our former advisor His Eminence Friar José Ruy Lopes and the former rectors of the Saint Dulce of the Poor Shrine, Friar Vandeí Santana Rocha and Friar Giovanni Barbosa Messias.

FATHER ALBERTO MONTEALEGRE VIEIRA NEVES
Father Alberto arrived at the Sister Dulce Social Works on December 1, 2008, to serve as chaplain of Saint Anthony Hospital. That same year, he began celebrating Sunday Mass at the Sanctuary of Saint Dulce, which at the time was called the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Mother of God. He began to organize pastoral activities, implementing liturgical, family, and missionary programs. Under his leadership, the Brotherhood of Saint Anthony was created, whose mission was to distribute food baskets to the poorest and to maintain devotion to the saint through votive Masses on Tuesdays and the trezena in June. Catechesis groups, youth groups, and altar server groups were also created. In 2010, Father Alberto closely accompanied the transfer of the body of Venerable Dulce from the Chapel of Saint Anthony to the Chapel of Relics, where her final tomb is located. In 2011, he presided over the first edition of the feast of Blessed Dulce of the Poor in August, the dedication of the Church, and its elevation to Archdiocesan Shrine. On May 22, 2012, Father Alberto was confirmed as the first rector of the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Immaculate Conception of the Mother of God, now the Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Dulce of the Poor, and held the position until 2013.
