DISPLAY CASES OF THE RELICS OF SAINT DULCE OF THE POOR

THE RELICS OF SAINT DULCE OF THE POOR
There is, without a doubt, a deep connection between heaven and earth, a union of love between the human and the divine. The relics of a saint demonstrate this. More than just objects used or touched by the saints, relics are part of the history of people who lived heroically the theological virtues: Faith, Hope and Charity, thus achieving sainthood.
Sacred relics offer the opportunity to delve into aspects of the saint's life, as they are objects that were part of his daily life and that, at some point, received his touch. They express in a real, simple and beautiful way the eternal that transcends time, as a true sign of Christ among us, revealed in the saint's life through his relics.
Here are many of the relics of Saint Dulce of the Poor, including objects that she used in her daily mission. They are true instruments that helped her to Love and Serve, such as the folder she used to collect donations and other personal belongings that reflect her life devoid of vanity.
Special mention goes to the first-degree relic: a fragment of her rib, which represents her presence among us. This reveals to us that, through the union between heaven and earth, Saint Dulce of the Poor continues to inspire gratuitous love, true charity and the synthesis of Christian life.
Thus, the Good Angel of Brazil intercedes for all who touch it, whether directly in its first-degree relic or in others, bringing humanity closer to God.
CLASSIFICATION OF RELICS
Respect for relics is a devotion with biblical roots. Since the beginnings of the Church, the mortal remains of the blessed and saints have been venerated. The Council of Trent, in 1545, invited us to venerate relics in recognition of those who bore witness to Christ with their own lives.
The Catholic Church classifies relics into three degrees of importance:
1st degree relic: body part (bone, nail, hair, blood, etc.).
2nd degree relic: objects for personal use.
3rd degree relic: objects that eventually touched the saint's body.
Here are examples of the relics of Saint Dulce of the Poor, which shed light on facts about her life and inspire us to imitate her in our desire to love and serve the poorest.
